Beige jadeite with darker spots. Carving, bas-relief, engraving; 18th–19th century, China. Belt buckle; height 2.4 cm, width 11.0 cm, depth 2.4 cm., A carved object made of a translucent warm beige to honey-colored material rests on a white surface, showing areas of darker amber-orange mottling; the piece has smooth, rounded forms with a curled end shaped like an animal head and raised decorative bumps along its top, casting a soft shadow beneath.
