Belt clasp, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, 17th–19th century. Jadeite with traces of chalcedony. Handle flattened on the sides, decorated with a lizard-dragon motif; head carved in full plastic, convex relief. Belt buckle; height 2.3 cm, width 8.4 cm, depth 1.8 cm., A small carved object resembling an animal with a curved neck and head at one end and a rounded body at the other, shown resting on a flat surface; the material appears smooth and slightly translucent with a pale green color and areas of brownish discoloration; the background transitions from light gray at the bottom to darker gray toward the top, and a soft shadow appears beneath and to the side of the object.
