Belt clasp, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, 17th–19th century. Jadeite with traces of chalcedony. Handle flattened on the sides, decorated with a lizard-dragon motif; head carved in full plastic, convex relief. Belt buckle. Height 2.3 cm; width 8.4 cm; depth 1.8 cm., A smooth carved object resembling a curved, elongated form with sculpted animal-like heads at each end, resting on a flat surface; its material appears jade-like with pale creamy white as the dominant color and areas of brownish and rust-colored patches; soft shadows fall beneath and to the left of the object; the background transitions from pale light gray near the surface to a darker gray toward the top.
