Belt clasp, Ruyi auspicious scepter motif with dragons; Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911. Stem with four-petal rosette, head of the ruyi scepter, clouds. White-gray jadeite, relief/engraving/bas-relief. 18th–19th century, China. Belt buckle; height 2.5 cm, width 12.7 cm, depth 2.3 cm., A pale, off-white carved object rests horizontally on a light surface, featuring a curved, elongated body with a raised, sculpted end that resembles layered, rounded shapes. The surface of the object shows shallow, flowing carved patterns and subtle variations in the off-white color, with smoother, slightly glossy areas and faint shadowing underneath that creates a soft gray shadow on the surface. The background transitions from light gray at the bottom to darker gray toward the top, and overall colors visible are off-white, light gray, darker gray, and soft shadowed tones.
