Materials/subjects: Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, men's clothing, belts, ornaments; motifs: lizards/dragons., A pale stone carving shaped like a horizontal elongated base supports a sculpted creature with a curled tail and rounded limbs; the creature and base are the same off-white to light beige color with subtle yellowish and brown speckles and veins, and the surface has smooth, slightly weathered contours. The piece casts a soft shadow on a neutral gray surface and is set against a gradient background ranging from light gray near the object to darker gray toward the top. The carving shows flowing, rounded forms and gentle grooves that suggest stylized features, with the overall palette limited to shades of off-white, beige, yellowish spots, brownish flecks, and various grays in the background and shadow.
