Belt clasp, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, 17th–18th century. Milky-white slightly translucent jadeite, smooth rounded handle. Full-sculpture carved lizard head, engraved. Belt buckle. Height 2.2 cm, width 10.5 cm, depth 2.1 cm., A smooth, elongated object rests horizontally on a flat surface, appearing to be made of a pale, translucent material in shades of light green and off-white with some faint cloudy patches. The object has rounded ends, one end slightly bulbous and the other tapering to a smaller rounded tip, and it casts a soft shadow on the surface beneath it. The background transitions from a darker gray at the top to a lighter gray near the surface, and the overall lighting is soft and diffuse, highlighting the object's glossy surface and subtle color variations.
