Belt clasp, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th–19th century. Milky-white translucent jade. Motifs: cicadas and dragons iconography. Shaft in flat relief; head carved in full relief. Belt buckle; height 2.4 cm, width 10.7 cm, depth 2.1 cm., A pale, light yellowish-white carved object resembling a curved form rests on a smooth, light gray surface against a gradient gray background, with a curved elongated body, a rounded underside support, subtle carved ridges along one edge, and a sculpted head-like end with rounded protrusions; shadows fall beneath and to the left of the object, and the overall scene shows shades of pale yellow, white, light gray, and darker gray in the background.
