Head carved in full relief; flat relief. 17th–18th century, China. Belt buckle. Height 1.8 cm; width 8.0 cm; depth 2.1 cm., A smooth pale off-white carved object shaped like a stylized animal with a curved neck and rounded head sits on a flat surface, casting a soft shadow; the body is elongated and slightly raised with subtle carved geometric and spiral patterns visible on its back; the scene shows a gradient background transitioning from darker gray at the top to very light gray near the surface, and the visible colors are off-white, pale cream, gray, and shadowed tones of blackish gray.
