Fully carved in-the-round head. 17th–18th century, China. Belt buckle; H 2.0 cm, W 9.1 cm, D 1.7 cm., A smooth, curved object made of translucent green and pale blue stone rests on a neutral surface, forming an elongated S-shape with one end carved into a rounded, stylized animal head and the other tapering to a gently rounded point; the stone shows subtle variations in color from deeper green to lighter blue-gray with faint cloudy areas and a small patch of warmer discoloration, and a small circular stone support is visible beneath the midsection, casting a soft shadow on the surface.
