Black and red togidashi decoration with gold kinji lacquer, painted with colored lacquers; decoration features fans, birds, and roosters., A shallow fan-shaped tray with a metallic gold surface showing a painted rooster near the center; the rooster has a red crest and reddish neck feathers, blue-gray and dark blue body feathers, and long dark brown tail feathers with lighter brown highlights, and the tray rim appears gold with a slightly darker gold interior, all set against a pale gray background.
