Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Sadaskari, Nepalese Buddhist sculpture, 18th–19th century. Statuette figurine, cult object of Bodhisattva Sadaksari sPyan-sras-gzigs seated in dhanasana on a double lotus lotus throne. One pair of hands folded in namaskara mudra; a third hand holds a mala and padma; includes mala prayer beads, dhoti, billowing scarf, jewelry, chignon, possibly Amitabha or a drop-shaped urn. Height 17.5 cm., A small bronze-colored statue of a seated figure on an ornate rounded base is shown in profile against a pale gray background; the figure has a tall headdress, detailed facial features, layered garments, and hands held together in front of the chest, with decorative elements and dangling ornaments along the side of the torso, and the base displays a row of petal-shaped motifs and a darker bronze patina.
