Gui-type bowl, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 2nd half 18th century. Porcelain vessel modeled after a ritual gui. Supported by a low ring foot; walls decorated with three horizontal rows of small convex knobs evoking archaic ruding nailheads, framed by a thin rim at the bottom and a band framing the spout at the top. Two stylized handles on either side reference the ancient prototype. Upper part decorated with an image of cicada larvae arranged in a rosette. Height 4.5 cm; width 13 cm; diameter 7.2 cm., A shallow, round cup-like vessel with a warm beige color sits centered on a smooth surface, featuring a band of raised rounded bumps around its exterior; it has a short pedestal base and two curved handles extending outward on opposite sides that are the same beige tone, and the background transitions from a dark gray at the top to a lighter gray near the surface.
