Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 2nd half of the 18th century. Cloisonné enamel vessel with a long, wide neck, supported on a separate ring-shaped foot and with a flattened spherical belly. Main decoration: dense, multi-colored lotus tendril surrounding the entire surface. Foot decorated with an ornamental band of small flowers and leaves. Upper edge of the neck at the rim decorated with a border of ruyi-heads. Neck ends with a thick, ungilded metal ring. Height 37.8 cm; diameter 15.5 cm., A single tall vase with a bulbous base and narrow neck occupies the image, covered in an intricate floral and foliate pattern on a predominantly blue background; the surface shows stylized flowers and swirling leaves in colors including red, green, yellow, white, purple, and dark blue, with darker outlines defining the motifs and a metallic dark bronze rim and base edge.
