Vase, noted; Chinese, Qing dynasty 2nd half of the 18th century; cloisonné enamel. Vase with a long, wide neck supported on a separate ring-shaped foot, with a flattened spherical belly; main decoration is a dense, multicolored lotus tendril surrounding the entire surface. Foot decorated with an ornamental band of small flowers and leaves. Upper edge of the neck at the rim is decorated with a border formed of ruyi-heads. Neck ends with a thick, ungilded metal ring. Vessel; height 37.8 cm, diameter 15.5 cm., A tall vase with a narrow cylindrical neck and a wide rounded base, decorated all over with swirling floral motifs and leafy tendrils in a palette of blue, turquoise, red, white, yellow, green, purple, and brown, with a darker brown rim and base edge; the background is primarily blue and turquoise while stylized flowers in red, white, yellow, purple, and green repeat across the surface, and fine dark outlines define the scrolling leaf patterns.
