Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 2nd half of the 18th century. Cloisonné enamel vessel with a long, wide neck supported on a separate ring-shaped foot and a flattened spherical belly. Main decoration: dense, multicolored lotus tendril surrounding the entire surface; foot decorated with an ornamental band of small flowers and leaves; upper edge of the neck at the rim bordered with ruyi-heads. Neck ends with a thick, ungilded metal ring. Height 37.8 cm; diameter 15.5 cm., A rounded vessel viewed from above with a dark central opening surrounded by a narrow brown rim, the body covered in an intricate floral pattern on a blue background; a group of stylized flowers in red, white, yellow, and dark blue are scattered among green vine-like shapes and teal foliage, with accents of dark green and touches of lighter blue throughout.
