Travel cutlery set in case; Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Includes: a Knife with cloisonné enamel handle and steel blade. b–c Ivory chopsticks decorated at the top with an inlaid black lacquer ornament in the form of a border. d File decorated similarly to the chopsticks. e Case 28 cm of cloisonné enamel with bronze fittings engraved at top and bottom; interior lined with wood. Chopsticks and file are held by a band decorated with a matching border; a narrow cotton-silk strap with fringes is attached. Case decorated with flowers in two reserves and plant tendrils in the background. Motifs: plant designs and swastika; function: cutlery., An elongated cylindrical object with decorative enamel work in shades of blue, light blue, red, white, and gold lies on a flat gray surface next to a woven gold-colored strap with a tassel and a round metallic button; the cylinder shows floral and scroll motifs in gold and white on blue backgrounds with detailed gold end caps.
