Travel cutlery set in case;, 19th century, China, Qing dynasty. Includes: a Knife with cloisonné enamel handle and steel blade; b–c Ivory chopsticks decorated with an inlaid black lacquer ornament at the top in the form of a border; d File decorated similarly to the chopsticks; e Case made of cloisonné enamel with bronze fittings decorated with engraved ornamentation at top and bottom, interior lined with wood. Chopsticks and file are held by a band decorated with a similar border. A narrow cotton-silk strap with fringes is attached to the case. Case decorated with flowers in two reserves and plant tendrils in the background. Cutlery; plant motifs; swastika iconography. Length: 28 cm case., noted., A slender cylindrical object with a decorative outer case in shades of blue, turquoise, red, yellow, green, and gold, featuring swirling patterns and floral-like motifs, partly open to reveal a smooth pale inner rod; a beige woven strap with a loop and a button-like fastener is attached near the top and extends to a fringe of thin beige threads, all set against a neutral gray background.
