Cylindrical tin with a wide plate-like collar extending beyond the vessel walls and slightly rising at the rim. Domed lid with a handle in the form of a decorative openwork knob: a dragon in clouds with its head directed toward a pearl atop the handle. Lid decorated with a lotus tendril composed of four geometrically arranged flowers and surrounding branches; a multi-petal rosette at the center under the metal handle, on turquoise background. Interior of box and lid unenameled and gilded; background turquoise. Function possibly an element of religious ritual incense box. Container; height 7.7 cm, diameter 15.1 cm., An ornate circular lidded dish with a domed top and a decorative finial, decorated with intricate floral and vine patterns in shades of light blue, red, green, yellow, and dark blue, with visible gold-colored metal rims and accents; the background is a neutral gray.
