Cylindrical spheroidal box with lid, cloisonné enamel on metal, 18th century, China, Qianlong period 1736–1795. Cylindrical box on a separate ring foot with a slightly convex lid, fully decorated with multi-coloured lotus tendrils on a turquoise ground. Foot band with curling silkworm-larvae motif. Rounded edge of lid, lower edge of foot, interior and bottom gilt. Bottom engraved: made in the Qianlong era, with workshop/guild mark yue. Paired with a similar box slightly different shape, height, and ornamentation. Height 4 cm; diameter 6.7 cm., A shallow, rounded metal vessel with a raised central rim, showing a gold interior and gold edging, sits against a gray background; the exterior surface is covered in a turquoise enamel with ornate floral and scrolling patterns outlined in gold and filled with shades of red and purple, and there are a few worn areas where the gold and turquoise show slight discoloration.
