Vase, Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860–1941, Chinese art, Chinese culture, Qing 1644–1911, Qing style; motifs: lotuses, cranes, deer, peonies, chrysanthemums, zoomorphic motifs, meander ornament, lotus tendril ornament, tigers; cloisonné enamel; form: vase with a neck, two stylized handles on the sides of the neck; decoration: floral and plant tendrils on a turquoise background, birds and animals in circular medallions on a plant background; 19th century, China; vessel; height 33.0 cm, diameter 15.0 cm, weight 1.7 kg., A decorative vase with a flared rim and narrow neck opening into a rounded body, covered in intricate floral and scrollwork patterns in bright turquoise and deep blue, accented with gold and touches of red, black, white, and green; the neck shows swirling blue and gold designs with a vertical gold handle-like element, the shoulder is banded with a black and white floral motif above a green radiating pattern, and the body features circular medallions with darker backgrounds containing stylized botanical scenes surrounded by ornate blue and gold arabesques, all sitting on a short gold and dark patterned base and reflected faintly on a glossy surface.
