Plate. Cloisonné enamel huaniao, decorative vessel with a brim. Turquoise background with images of birds swallows, plant motifs, flowers, plum trees, and floral ornaments. Pair with a slightly different mirror decoration. 19th century, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, China. Height 2 cm; diameter 14.2 cm. Maker, inscription/gift: Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860–1941 noted., A shallow decorative bowl sits on a reflective surface, showing a mirrored reflection beneath it; the bowl has a bright turquoise band around its exterior adorned with circular and cloud-like motifs in red, white, green, black, and gold, and a gold rim and base; the interior visible at the top edge shows dark purple with floral patterns in yellow, green, white, and black; the background is a smooth pale gray.
