Decoration: fish and crabs on a turquoise background; archaizing inscription on the neck. 19th century, China. Vessel. Height 23.2 cm; diameter 9.1 cm., A rounded vase with a flared rim and a metallic upper and lower band, decorated overall in bright blue with concentric wave patterns and green leaf-like motifs; the body features a group of stylized fish in black with gold and white accents and in red with gold and white accents, each with visible scales and fins, and a smaller red fish near the base; the neck area shows a band of darker blue with decorative vertical shapes in dark color; the base rim has a pattern in green and white with gold edging; the background is gray.
