Vase, : Paderewski, Ignacy Jan 1860–1941. Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911. Cloisonné enamel vase on a foot with a neck. Decoration: fish and crabs on a turquoise background, archaizing inscription on the neck. 19th century. Vessel. Height 23.2 cm; diameter 9.1 cm., A rounded vase with a flared neck and a metallic rim, decorated in bright colors on a blue background; the neck shows dark linear motifs in black against the blue, and a narrow band of red and gold near the rim. The body features swirling water patterns in varying shades of blue with a few stylized leaves in green, and a group of fishes in contrasting colors: a red fish with gold and white accents, a black fish with white details, and a white fish with red and gold touches. The base has a decorative band with green and white wave-like motifs and a metallic lower rim in gold.
