Metal collar ending a sword hilt fuchi, Kita, Takenori metalworker, Mito school, Japanese, Edo 1603–1868 / Meiji 1868–1912, 2nd half of the 18th century–19th century. Decoration in high relief, inlaid; engraved signature. Iconography: moon, lotuses, momiji maple leaves, flowers. Materials/subject: katana hilt, cold steel weapon. Dimensions: height 3.9 cm, width 2.2 cm, depth 1.2 cm., A small oval-shaped object with a hollow center, primarily black with hints of dark brown and worn areas showing red and green tones, displaying a few small gold-colored decorative elements on its outer edges, set against a uniform gray background.
