A small, slender vase with a body tapering toward the bottom and terminating in a ring-shaped silver foot. The arms merge into a short neck slightly parted at the spout, enclosed by a silver ring. At the foot is an ornamental shippo cloisonné border with rosettes inscribed in rhomboid fields; a similar ornament adorns the neck. From the neck a decoration of petals filled with stylized images of a phoenix flows down to the shoulders. The belly is covered with shiny black enamel decorated with six colorful reserves in the shape of unfolded fans, each bearing floral and bird motifs executed with meticulous precision in the yusen technique using silver wires. On the foot, in the mirror of the bottom, a silver plaque with an engraved signature is mounted: Kyoto Namikawa., An elongated vase with a glossy black background featuring a patchwork of decorative panels in pale cream, lime green, sky blue, and muted beige, each panel decorated with floral motifs, branches, leaves, and small birds; the neck and base have patterned bands with geometric and floral designs in colors including green, blue, brown, gold, and cream, and there are accent details in red and turquoise throughout the ornamentation.
