Vase, cloisonné enamel, ovoid elongated form with a narrow spout, decorated with chrysanthemums, maples, and other plant ornaments; Japanese, Nagoya; maker, Meiji–Taisho period, ca. 1910–1920; height 12.4 cm, diameter 16.3 cm., A pale bluish-white ceramic vase with a narrow neck and small rounded rim sits against a muted lavender-gray background, decorated with painted floral and foliage motifs including a branch with orange and reddish maple-like leaves, clusters of small daisy-like flowers in light cream and pale green leaves, and a few taller slender green leaves with small purple-centered blossoms; the rim has a thin darker band and the base edge shows a scalloped decorative border in shades of brown, orange, and gold.
