Ovoid cloisonné enamel vase one of a pair, slender, on a low ring-shaped foot with a narrow neck flaring at the rim; foot and mouth framed with sheet metal. Decorated with a motif of a blooming iris bush rendered naturalistically in varied color tones, executed using the yusen technique against a uniform sea-green background. Narrow colorful borders of small triangular cicada wing forms around the foot and rim. Nagoya, Japan. Vessel; height 25 cm, width 9.7 cm, depth 8.8 cm., A tall, slender ceramic vase with a flared neck and narrow mouth, finished in a deep teal color with a glossy sheen, decorated with a painted floral motif showing a group of long green leaves and purple blossoms with yellow-green buds, the rim and base bordered by narrow bands featuring a repeating scalloped pattern in red, white, blue, and gold, and the top edge having a metallic brown trim; the background is a neutral gray.
