Decoration: four reserves depicting blossoming cherry, apple tree, wisteria, and lilies on a navy blue background. Japan, ca. 1910–1920 Meiji/Taisho periods. Vessel; height 15.5 cm, diameter 6.0 cm., A tall, narrow vase with a flared rim sits upright against a plain gray background, predominantly colored deep blue with panels of pale off-white featuring a delicate floral design showing branches and blossoms in shades of pink and white with green leaves and brownish-gray stems; the vase also includes accents of gold, turquoise, red, and yellow in decorative borders and small painted details, and the surface reflects faintly below creating a subtle mirrored effect.
