Vase, cloisonné enamel ovoid elongated vase with a short, thin, strongly flared neck. Decoration: four reserves depicting blossoming cherry, apple tree, wisteria and lilies on a navy blue background. Japanese, ca. 1910–1920 Meiji/Taisho periods. Vessel, height 15.5 cm, diameter 6.0 cm., A tall, narrow vase with a flared rim sits against a plain light gray background, the body of the vase predominantly deep blue with panels of off-white that display painted branches with blossoms and leaves in shades of pink, red, green, and brown, and small accents of gold outlining decorative borders; the neck of the vase is blue with turquoise and gold details, and the base shows bands of turquoise, gold, and blue with the vase casting a soft reflection on the glossy surface beneath it.
