Vase by Miwa Tomisaburô fl. late 19th–early 20th century. Elongated cloisonné enamel vase, Japan, early 20th century Meiji period, 1868–1912. Decoration: white and blue irises in the background; cranes engraved and polished in foil among plants, standing in water; foil covered with transparent enamel. Vessel; height 12.2 cm, diameter 5.1 cm., A rounded object viewed from above with a circular dark opening at its center, surrounded by a metallic rim and a textured surface in a pale greenish-blue shade with a slightly pearly sheen, showing a few areas of deeper blue enamel decoration near the lower edge and small accents of yellow, set against a neutral light gray background.
