Small box with a lid, Kinkôzan, Sôbei VII 1867–1927 maker, Kinkôzan workshop, Japanese, Meiji period late 19th century. Satsuma ceramics decorated with wisteria and butterflies. The lid has a gold knob shaped like a flower. The vessel has two slightly convex handles and stands on three wide feet. Signed. Vessel/container; height 6.8 cm, diameter 10.2 cm. Origin: Awata, Kyoto, Japan., A small oval ceramic bowl with a creamy off-white interior and exterior sits on a reflective gray surface, decorated around its upper rim with an ornate gold band and delicate painted floral motifs in shades of gold, green, blue, pink, and brown, and featuring a gold-colored loop handle on one side and short molded feet at the base; the overall visible colors include cream, gold, gray, green, blue, pink, brown, and a hint of red.
