Incense burner koro with cover, Kinkozan Sobei VII 1867–1927, Kinkozan workshop co-creator. Meiji period 19th/20th century, Kyoto, Awata, Japan. Ceramics Kyoto satsuma, satsuma ware. Tripod vessel with two handles; decorated with wisteria, chrysanthemums, flowers; okimono-style censers. Signed. Height 7.8 cm; diameter 9.5 cm., A round ceramic vessel on three short feet with two upward-curving handles, decorated all over with hanging floral clusters in shades of blue, purple, and pale pink with green foliage on a cream background, a band of metallic gold ornament around the rim and gold detailing on the handles and feet, set against a neutral gray surface and background with a soft reflection visible beneath the vessel.
