Satsuma ceramics censer koro, Kyoto Satsuma Awata, height 7.8 cm, diameter 9.5 cm. On three legs and with two handles; decorated with wisteria, chrysanthemums and flowers; okimono; signed., A rounded ceramic vessel with a domed lid and two upward-curving handles rests on three short feet; the lid and a band around the rim are decorated in metallic gold with intricate floral and geometric patterns, while the body features a delicate all-over floral design in soft colors including purple, blue, pink, green, cream, and gold; the handles and feet are gold-toned, and the vessel sits on a reflective gray surface against a plain gray background.
