The bottom is round, slightly recessed, with an engraved brand. Decoration is sparse: a naturalistically treated wisteria vine on the upper belly on one side, with a sumptuous flower cluster hanging nearly to the vase’s end. Made of silver, enhanced by gilding and black shakudo patina and the masterly technique of combining various metals and alloys, giving a darker tone to the decorative motif than the background and a colorful, naturalistic yet decorative effect.
