Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Large oval ceramic vessel with a long wide neck opening at the spout, covered with sang de boeuf bull's blood glaze. Height 58 cm; diameter 24.5 cm., A tall ceramic vase with a flared rim and a narrow neck that widens into a rounded body, shown against a plain pale gray background; the vase surface is glossy with a deep red to burgundy color and subtle variations of darker and slightly lighter red tones, with small areas of purple-tinged red near the neck and base, and a thin lighter edge along the rim.
