The object is primarily dark brown to black with some lighter brown highlights where the material is worn. It has an openwork, layered structure with irregular holes and carved ridges, and an overall oval or rounded shape. The surface shows textured carving and varied depth, and the base area has a slightly scalloped edge. The background transitions from a deep charcoal at the top to lighter gray toward the bottom, and the surface beneath the object is a pale gray to off-white.
