Lemon-shaped paperweight, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th–19th century. Sculpture depicting a Buddha's hand fingered lemon. Materials: paperweight; dimensions: height 6.0 cm, width 9.7 cm, depth 5.7 cm., A rough, irregular stone sits centered on a smooth surface, showing layered bands and pockets of translucent and opaque material in shades of brown, reddish-brown, amber, cream, and pale gray; the stone has glossy and matte areas with textured, pitted sections and smoother, rounded ridges, and it casts a soft shadow against a gradient background that shifts from light gray at the bottom to dark gray and near-black toward the top.
