Vessel., Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, early 18th century. Gray-green jade, hollowed. Tall vessel on four feet with rounded edges; dragon-shaped handle on the narrower side. Entire surface covered in bas-relief motifs of clouds and mythological creatures dragons, clouds. Height 9.0 cm; width 14.0 cm; depth 6.5 cm., A carved object rests on a smooth surface against a dark gray to black gradient background, the object appearing predominantly pale green with areas of brown and darker green mottling; it has a rounded rectangular form with carved swirling patterns across its visible faces and a sculpted handle or loop at one side, and it casts a soft shadow on the surface beneath.
