Bowl, Islamic art, Arabic; Decoration with braided and arabesque motifs in cartouches. Background punched. 20th century, Middle East, possibly Palestine. Vessel; height 4.3 cm, diameter 5.8 cm., A metal goblet with a rounded bowl on a short pedestal base, showing a patina of greenish-gold, brown, and dark bronze tones, with areas of worn yellow-gold and small patches of silvery metal. The bowl surface is decorated with circular medallion designs outlined in a coppery reddish tone and filled with silvery raised knotwork against a darker textured background, and there are linear braided and vine-like engraved patterns in darker and brown hues. The rim has a thin silvery band and the pedestal shows wear with greenish-gold, brown, and darker brown bands and a noticeable silvery blemish, all set against a plain pale gray background.
