Materials/decoration: copper with Hebrew inscriptions inlaid in copper, Star of Solomon six-pointed star motif, arabesque patterns; hinged lid hinge halfway down the handle topped with a crescent. Inscriptions deciphered: words including drinking, in the hexagonal star Gan Eden, garden, in the cartouche for celebration, and under the handle in the Star of Solomon seal Mim from the word water. Dimensions: height 15.5 cm, width 15.5 cm, diameter 8.7 cm., An ornate metal jug with a hinged lid and handle sits against a light gray background; the jug has a flared conical base narrowing toward the neck, a pointed spout, and a top lid that is open and attached to a long, decorative handle with a twisted element near the hinge. The surface shows decorative raised patterns and embossed motifs in contrasting metallic tones, with visible areas of brass-like gold, darker bronze, silver highlights, and copper-colored accents; the interior of the jug and the underside of the lid appear darker and more muted in color. The handle and hinge show irregular, hand-forged shapes and a slightly rough texture, while the body displays scrollwork and ornamental borders in the various metallic colors. The overall scene contains colors including gold, bronze, silver, copper, dark gray, and the pale gray of the background.
