Flowerpot, Chinese, Qing 1644–1911, 18th/19th century. Blue-and-white porcelain jardinnière with floral decorations—lotuses and flowers—and birds including phoenixes. Vessel; height 15.2 cm., A hexagonal ceramic vessel with an open top, shown against a neutral gray background, sits on a reflective surface. The vessel is predominantly white with cobalt blue painted decoration, including a band of floral and cloud-like motifs near the rim and a lower band of repeating vertical panels with stylized floral elements. Each face features a circular medallion with a bird motif rendered in blue. The vessel stands on short bracket feet, and the interior appears unglazed or lightly stained compared with the exterior. The visible colors are white, cobalt blue, gray, and a small area of beige on the feet.
