Vase - moon bottle pilgrim with a sleeve, cloisonné enamel, Qing 1644–1911, 19th century, China, decorated with peacocks, moon bottles, herons, dragons, flower tendril and lotus tendril ornament, vessel, height 39.3 cm, width 28.5 cm, depth 11.4 cm, A round flask-shaped vessel with a flattened circular body and a short neck, decorated overall in turquoise blue with darker blue and green cloudlike patterns, featuring a central round panel on the body that contains intricate multicolored enamel designs in deep blue, green, yellow, red, and gold tones depicting stylized natural motifs; the neck and shoulder share the turquoise and dark blue patterning, and there are a pair of ornate sculpted handles in a gold-colored metal shaped like stylized mythical creatures attached to the shoulder; the rim and the flat base have gold-colored metal accents, and the object sits on a reflective neutral-gray surface against a pale gray background.
