Decorated on the outside with a meander stripe and Buddhist symbols cranes, endless knot, lambrequin pattern; Chinese ceramics, bowls; related to Boxer Rebellion 1899–1901., A small porcelain bowl with a glossy white surface sits against a plain gray background, decorated around its exterior with a repeating band of geometric motifs in red near the rim, a thin gold trim at the top edge, and a narrow yellow band with blue dots near the foot; the bowl shows painted ornamental designs in soft green, pale pink, lavender, orange, and blue including stylized floral and ribbon-like shapes and a small rendered vessel, with delicate gold accents and a reflective sheen on its curved surface.
