Vase, Qajar dynasty 1785–1925, Persian, 19th century, lacquer vase. Decoration: densely placed plant motifs peonies with gold contouring; collar and above the foot decorated with flowers red and gold. Inscription Italian on inner card noting it is a lacquer vase. Vessel; height 32.0 cm, diameter 17.0 cm., A tall vase with a rounded body tapering to a narrower foot, decorated with floral bands and a dark central field; the top and lower bands show a group of stylized flowers in red, yellow, orange, green, and hints of blue against a dark background, separated by narrow goldish borders; the central area is predominantly dark with an embossed or painted pattern of flowers in deep blue and muted gold tones creating a textured appearance; the neck and base rim are dark, with touches of goldish trim, and the overall color palette includes black, dark blue, green, red, yellow, orange, and goldish accents.
