Decoration: knightly and figurative scenes with horses and falcons; rims decorated with figures, architecture, flowers, animals, palmettes, and inscriptions. Cultural/ stylistic: Persian, Islamic art., A shallow ceramic bowl with a rounded foot, shown from the side, decorated with painted figurative scenes and ornamental bands; the bowl displays a palette of blue, green, brown, cream, and pale turquoise, with darker blue outlining and accents, and areas of brownish-red on the painted figures; the rim shows a thin darker edge and the interior and exterior carry repeating floral and scroll motifs, while the exterior band includes stylized animal-like figures and a patterned rectangular panel, all rendered in the same limited color range against a cream background, set against a plain light gray-purple backdrop.
