Jug, Ilkhanid period 1256–1335, Persian/Islamic ceramics, 13th–14th century Iran. Ceramic vessel cup/vase, used in everyday life in the Middle East; height 12.5 cm, diameter 11.5 cm, weight 0.378 kg., A small rounded vessel sits centered against a pale gray background, showing a worn blue surface with patches of lighter and darker blue and areas of brownish discoloration. The rim and base display exposed beige, sandy material where the blue surface is chipped away. The vessel has an uneven, slightly rough texture with some visible pitting and flaking, and the interior appears darker blue than parts of the exterior. The overall palette includes blue, beige, brown, and pale gray.
