Depicted as a general wearing a high helmet and full chain-mail armor, belt adorned with a monster's head, usually shown with a sword; tradition holds he fought demons that tried to steal Buddha’s relics. 15th–16th century, China. Dimensions: height 32.0 cm, width 15.8 cm, depth 10.5 cm., A rectangular object viewed from one side with scalloped edges and a textured, rough surface in shades of brown and rust, showing a few worn pale beige chips along the rim; a circular metal plate with a darker gray tone is attached off-center and holds a small irregular piece in a yellowish-brown color secured by thin dark wires; the background is a smooth gradient of light gray.
