Oil lamp, Persian/Islamic art, oil lamp for lighting with birds, geometric motifs, palmettes; lamp with a side decorative shaft, stylized medallion and palmette finial. 19th–20th century, Central Asia, / Iran, height 45.5 cm, diameter 15.5 cm., A round, shallow metal dish with a pointed protrusion at the top is shown upright, revealing a textured, worn interior surface in a brass-like golden color; in front of it lies an ornate flat metal piece with openwork patterns and rounded protrusions, also in a similar golden-brass color with darker patina and worn edges, all set against a smooth light gray background with reflections visible beneath the objects.
