Oil lamp, Persian Islamic art, oil lamp for lighting with birds, geometric motifs, palmettes ornament; lamp with a side decorative shaft, stylized medallion, palmette finial. 19th–20th century, Central Asia, Iran, height 45.5 cm, diameter 15.5 cm., A metallic object with a vertical elongated arm and a shallow round dish at the base, shown against a light gray background; the object appears made of a brass or bronze metal with a dull golden-brown patina and areas of darker brown and greenish tarnish, the vertical arm is thin and irregular with a few small protrusions and a rounded knob near the middle where a horizontal element connects, the shallow dish is circular with a flat rim and a small triangular spout on one side, the metal surface shows scratches and worn spots and some darker patches inside the dish.
