Gui-type incense burner, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Bronze vessel with plant tendril ornamentation, decorated with phoenixes, dragons, unicorns qilin, and cranes. Ceremonial/ritual vessel. Height 7.5 cm; width 17.8 cm; diameter 13.7 cm; weight 0.53 kg., A small metallic bowl with a pair of ornate handles sits on a reflective surface, showing a faint mirrored image beneath it. The bowl is primarily dark metal with extensive gold-toned decorative accents and inlaid patterns around its rim, body, and base. The body features raised decorative motifs including stylized bird- or dragon-like figures and flowing ornamental designs. The handles are curved and sculpted with decorative detailing. The interior of the bowl appears dark and worn. The background is a uniform light gray. Colors visible include dark metal tones, gold, and light gray.
